The amalgamation is a blessing - Goodluck Jonathan
The immediate past President of Nigeria, Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has on his twitter handle make certain twitter posts concerning the unity of Nigerian. Insisting that our differences should not prod us into disintegration.
The tweet post reads as below
"In both the people and the environment Nigeria exhibits high diversity. The amalgamation is a blessing except we decide to make it a curse"
He also made lot more comment concerning the unification of the country. Read them below.....
"Nigeria is for all Nigerians. We must resist the pull of ego that may make us want to purse a regional or narrow agenda"
"Our differences are a blessing because they strengthen our resilience and diversity, the essential ingredient of a great nation"
"By understanding our differences we can build unity in our country"
"We may have our differences but these differences should serve as the mortar to cement our unity"
"As patriots we must strive to both explore and deploy our God given talents and abilities to develop our country and build our nation"
While some Nigerians disagree to the fact that the amalgamation is a blessing to Nigerians. They claim there is no similarity at all that could make the amalgamation a blessing. See screenshot below....
